Cambridge uses computer equipment to divert Hack iPhone Passcode

A computer Cambridge has achieved something only $ 100 for the FBI had to pay over a million dollars. He managed to find a way to get unlimited password guessing a locked iPhone finally allowed to unlock the phone attempts.

Earlier this year, the FBI said in the case of San Bernardino that such an approach would not work to release the iPhone 5c of one of the terrorists involved in the terrorist attack.

In a video uploaded on YouTube by Dr. Skorobogatov, he demonstrated how he was able to remove an iPhone NAND chip 5c, cloned using a cheap hardware tool, and then put the clone chip in the phone. This NAND chip had cloned their PIN counter zero attempts while Dr. Skorobogatov may repeat the process to unlock the phone as many times as you want without blocking the phone. the computer about 40 hours it took to unlock a locked iPhone 5c using this procedure, even if it used a password to four digits.

Unlocking an iPhone with a six-digit code can potentially take hundreds of hours though.

Although it is possible to clone new NAND chips iPhones like the iPhone 6 using the most sophisticated process, more information about how Apple stores data in the NAND of its new iPhones that make the process cloning is it needs a success.
