How to fix Your Windows 10 Anniversary Update problems

During the last week, users installed the update anniversary of Windows 10 without problems. However, when the computer restarts, Windows 10 may not start. At this time, there is no official response from Microsoft on the freezing problem after the upgrade.

Return to a previous version of Windows has worked in some cases, but not all. If you performed a clean installation of Windows 10, instead of upgrading from Windows 7 or Windows 8, the most likely problems persist. You may want to consider disabling secure boot, reinstall the device drivers and or modify the registry (but only if it is technically well).

Reddit posters (see link below) have provided clarification on the issues they face. Yes seem to be a definitive solution to freezing. I suggest you visit the link below for the latest information Reddit, currently 32 updates. You should read all the updates and comment posters before starting to diagnose the problem.

As with most updates to the operating system, you should always keep regular backups, so that if problems arise, you can revert to an earlier version.
